What is a shaker cup?

What is a blender cup?

Blender cups or blender bottles have either a silver ball or metal or plastic spring in the bottle. The shaker ball should stay in the shaker when you add your protein powder and liquid to the shaker. During the shaking process the ball bounces around and helps to mix your shake making it as smooth as possible.

Like everything these days, there is ok, good, great and over the top. This applies to shaker cups as much as anything.

There are battery powered and electric shaker cups. These are over the top. Unnecessary in my opinion.

Stainless steel shaker cups.

We personally love these. They are easy to clean, tough and resilient. They can come with a second chamber for holding protein powder and a folding strainer. They are also the most expensive.
